Roo has officially been retired.  She had two litters and was a devoted mother—gentle, watchful, always putting her puppies first.  Her puppies are phenomenal in every aspect. Every little whimper sent her running, every tail wag brought out her nurturing side. But beneath all that love was an anxious heart that never quite let her relax during the early weeks with her second litter. With her best interest in mind, I have decided to spay her and retire her early.

 

We are seeking the perfect retirement family for her.  Rehoming a retired dog is one of the hardest parts of what I do—it’s deeply emotional. Loving her also means knowing when it’s time to let her step into the next chapter—the one where she gets to be someone’s entire world. I’m beginning the search for that perfect match: the person who will value her as a devoted companion and walking partner. A person that NEEDS her as a companion as much as she will cherish the constant companionship with them

 

Roo is extremely affectionate, intelligent, and sensitive. She's loyal, eager to please, smart as a whip and full of love. Her favorite things in life? Long, sniffy walks and curling up underfoot—or better yet, in your lap. Roo is human-focused through and through. She is a little shadow. She thrives on attention, connection, and being part of her person’s daily routine.

Roo would be happiest in a home where someone is around often, enjoys regular walks (her favorite thing in the world!), and wants a constant companion by their side. She’s used to having people close by and will do best in a calm, stable environment where she gets plenty of attention and affection.
